Thank You
I am now running it in Windows 8 compatibility mode. It seems much better.
I still on occasions have to go back to Project and back into the 4th Axis mode and the display shows.

Windows 10 - Compatibility Mode
Hi
I was running Gearotic on a Windows 8 computer without issues.
I just migrated to a new computer running Windows 10 Pro (Core i7 / 16G)
I am having issues with the tools buttons not appearing until overed above, gears not showing up at first on the 4th axis, same with Dxf export.

Is it easy to scale down a clock design?
Hi
I have a small CNC mill with a 4th axis.
Most clock design I find are for wood clocks and they are too large for my mill.
If I purchase a wood clock design, is it difficult to scale it down and make it from brass instead of wood?

Re: Need Help Cutting my first 4th axis gear
Art
You are correct, I changed the Rotary Table to X-- and everything works fine now and it all makes sense.
Thank You for your help.

Re: Need Help Cutting my first 4th axis gear
Hi Art
I am glad that my first gear cut was in Delrin...
I did work out the feedrate but something went terribly wrong between the rot wall and the tangential and it appears to be with the generated code itself:
Below is a sample:
The root wall appears to have the correct angles around 5degree but ...

Need Help Cutting my first 4th axis gear
Hi
I need your advice on cutting my first 4th axix gear.
I designed a 3/4 spur gear and I generated the G-Code.
I have a Taig Mill with a rotary table running Mach-3.
I am using a feedrate of 6IPM and a PLunge Rate of 3IPM.
The problem is with the A axis G1 code. (Root wall and Tangentials)

Laser Application Notes - CNC Mill - Mach-3 - Smoothstepper
A few months ago, I added a low cost 3.5W Laser on my CNC Mill.
The enclosed link is application note showing the simple circuit, the Mach 3 settings, the M10, M11 commands to turn off the Laser during rapid moves.
PWM is also used to reduce the laser power during acceleration limits to avoid ...
