Re: Forum Crash

Obviously after posting the above the search box is now right where it should be!

I see that a search for my old posts will bring up a list of results but a click on the subject then brings up a 'not available' message. A very poorly forum indeed. I have a new clock to show off but am not sure where to post it.

The search box doesn' appear yet if you are logged in. In my case I only see it when visit the forum as a guest.
Yes, some old threads don't show, but please you can be patient. Fix all this can take sometime.

Art,
You have my sympathy, it must be very demoralising to see so much work lying in a tangled heap at your feet. I'm sure we all appreciate your efforts to get this valuable archive back up and running.

Worst thing is , it happens only every 5-10 years, enough time to forget sql and forum maintenance.
True pain..

Oh, almost there. I've been rebuilding my cnc table with new motors and such, so Im a bit lazy when it comes to
the forum to be honest. Thanks for the patience.

I seem to still have superuser powers, and the ability to edit other people's posts. I did open the editor but didn't try to alter or save anything. If you want to make a test post I'll see if I can change it

Kirk

OT, a couple of my neighbors revived my unsuccessful Florida well jetting techniques from 6 or 7 years ago and made them work. They then offered to help me start over and try again during this very droughty winter and we've spent the last few days playing with sand and water. I can't remember the last time I've been this tired, and it still isn't working. If a retired pilot, teacher, and engineer can't get water out of high water table sand then it might be a hopeless cause.
