Vexx

Vexx is our stand alone sofware program that combines a bit of the old Vecs to a newer interface. Not to be confuses with Vecs, but Vexx  was originally designed as a tool to connect the workings of Gearotic CAD and Auggie, a little closer together. The platform had to include most basic tools found inside CAD drawing programs to allow building things with an added twist. Our main objective was to bring Auggie and Gearotic closer together so we could combined its features to our project for decoration or to generate clock faces plates. Since Gearotic exports the code for making one, we thought, why not decorate it also? We initially wanted to pre determine vane shape interactions, when spun for optimum effect. No one else appears to offer this solution, so work began to simulate these in action with Vector Wizard, and eventually with this theory in mind, Vexx was born.

Vexx is versatile in application. Not only is it a CAD draw program, but also a tool to offer additional specialties in the 2D 3D CAD world. Harris vanes are one of those, along with spiral tools, plus it makes slots and allows trimming to be made easy. It offers the Guiloche Wizard for those unique patterns and makes sea shell objects. Vexx also extrudes on plane, a very handy tool for those 2D to 3D conversions we often quickly need. It exports GCode, it segments images to vectors, fillets corners and makes Celtic knots. I wasn’t kidding when I said Vexx was unique.
